- Established in 2001, New Mexico OptNet is an independent physicians association (IPA) based in New Mexico that offers a flexible and affordable vision plan directly to employers and individuals. Vision Care Direct allows doctors to provide a higher quality of care than any other plan by cutting out the middle man and allowing doctors the freedom to choose the materials that are right for their patients. - NM OptNet offers our IPA Doctors many tools to help their private practices build strength in their local communities. Through our Preferred Vendor Program our Doctors practices can take advantage of great purchase pricing. The support of the Preferred Vendor Progam helps to support the IPA's funding. With the funding we are able to bring support and training to each of our Doctor's practices, offering staff training opportunities, practice management tools, and marketing materials.
